PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication slave which is to be used for asynchronous communication and has a function for monitoring operation of an oscillation circuit.SOLUTION: A communication circuit 22 of a communication slave uses a cycle counter 33 to measure reception intervals of synchronous signals which are cyclically transmitted by a master, by count operation based on a main clock output from an oscillation circuit. A oscillation abnormality monitoring task reads out measured values of the cycle counter 33 that are stored in a monitoring cycle number register 50, and detects abnormality of the oscillation circuit when the measured value exceeds a normal range. |
