PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garment belt member which has a good appearance and has a simplified sewing process, in which a passed string is stably positioned, and whose appearance and wearing feeling are favorable, and to provide a garment using the belt member.SOLUTION: The garment belt member includes the followings in a longitudinal direction: a surface part 16 formed of stretchable knit fabric doubly folded to be set to the opening rim part of a garment, and attached to the surface of a garment fabric 12; a back part 18 attached to the reverse side of the fabric 12 and connected to one side rim part of the surface part 16; and a folding part 20 which is set between the surface part 16 and the back part 18 and at which the surface part 16 and the back part 18 are folded back on each other. At the inside surface of the back part 18 superimposed on the surface part 16, a plurality of yarns 22 are set while intersecting with a longitudinal direction, and the yarns 22 are arranged in parallel to one another in a longitudinal direction to form an arcade-state insertion part 24. Strings 36 are passed through the inside of the insertion part 24. A belt member 14 is woven by making non-stretchable weft yarns intersect with each of non-stretchable warp yarns and stretchable warp yarns. |
