PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereo camera unit capable of enhancing efficiency of manufacturing and component procurement, and capable of achieving further reduction in size and thickness. ! SOLUTION: A stereo camera unit includes: one rigid substrate 3 having a first main surface 31 on a side facing a subject and a second main surface 32 on a side facing opposite with respect to the subject; a first connector 341 and a second connector 342 mounted on the first main surface 31 or the second main surface 32; and a first camera module 1 and a second camera module 2 having flexible substrates 11 and 21. On the rigid substrate 3, a first window part 331 and a second window part 332 are formed at a predetermined interval. Lens barrels of the first and the second camera modules 1 and 2 are inserted into the window parts of the rigid substrate 3 in such a manner that base end parts of the flexible substrates 11 and 21 are arranged on the second main surface 32 side of the rigid substrate 3. !
