The railway wagon (1) has an opening (7) that is arranged in a floor (13) of an upper floor (2). An actuable locking element (8) is provided, where the opening in the floor of the upper floor is closed or opened in a selective manner. The opening is arranged in an area of a longitudinal passage of the railway wagon or outside of the seat rows (4) that occupies a portion of the floor. The opening in an open state allows the transfer of a passenger from the upper floor to a lower floor (3). The actuable locking element is arranged in the floor of the upper floor.
