The method involves detecting a vehicle (20) at an entrance of a multi-storey car parking (10) by a sensor system. A vehicle guidance (30) is displayed on a display in the vehicle by using an application (App). A connection between an inventory management that is present in the multi-storey car parking and the current vehicle position is determined by using an Internet service (40). The display in the vehicle and the application are maintained, until the vehicle has reached the individual parking space.
