The torsion beam axle (1) comprises a rigid, torsional cross beam (3), which is connected angularly rigid with a bending and torsion-resistant longitudinal arm (4) corresponding to its longitudinal extension end area side. The longitudinal arm comprises a unit (5) for connecting its longitudinal extension at a vehicle body (6) at one end and another unit (7) for connecting a vehicle wheel (2) at the other end. The cross beam is movably connected along the longitudinal arm. An actuator (12) is provided for displacement of the cross beam.
