The method involves manufacturing an electric cable (8) in a contact machine (2). A first contact element (6) is fixed to a second contact element i.e. crimping plier (4) at ends of the electric cable. A plug housing (16) is equipped with the electric cable. The contact machine is inserted into the housing in a predetermined position. The second contact device is crimped with the first contact element at a stripped end of the electric cable. The first contact element is mechanically maintained with a gripping element during assembly. Housing portions are firmly bonded with one another.
