The disclosed is a spindle motor which comprises a base member; a shaft supporting unit; a shaft; a rotor hub; and a stator core installation member. The base member is formed by a steel plate formed by plastic working, and has an installation unit in cylinder shape. The shaft supporting unit is installed in the installation unit by insertion, and the shaft is supported to be rotary in the shaft supporting unit. The rotor hub is installed in the upper part of the shaft by being fixed, and has driving magnet on the inner circumference. The stator core installation member is installed in the base member to be positioned in the outside of the radius of the installation unit, and includes a stator core fixed in order for the one end of the stator core to be positioned to face the driving magnet. The stator core installation member comprises a body unit and a supporting unit. The inner sides of the body unit are combined with the outer circumference of the installation unit, and the lower part of the body unit is combined with the top of the base member. The supporting unit includes an installation wall unit extending from the top of the body to be combined with the inner sides of the stator core, and a supporting side which supports the bottom of the stator core. The rotor hub includes an extension wall structure which extends from the bottom and forms a labyrinth seal with the installation wall unit. |
