Disclosed are a donor film with outstanding transfer characteristics for laser induced thermal imaging and a method for preparing the same, which provides a wide transfer width and area and a clear transfer surface when a light-emitting layer is formed on a substrate by transferring a low molecular light-emitting material toward the substrate by heat generated during laser-scanning by a laser induced thermal imaging method. The donor film with outstanding transfer characteristics for laser induced thermal imaging, comprising: a base layer, a photothermal conversion layer, a protective layer, and transfer layer, wherein an additive is further added so as to adjust surface energy by one or two layers of the photothermal conversion layer and the protective layer.
