OPTICAL IMAGE STABILIZER FOR CAMERA MODULE AND METHOD THEREOF

An optical image stabilizer (OIS) for a camera module is disclosed. The OIS for a camera module includes a camera unit which generates an image signal by photographing a test chart and detects vibration induced by hand shaking; a vibration generating unit which applies vibration corresponding to the hand shaking to the camera unit; and an OIS circuit unit which detects a hand shaking compression rate according to gyro gain using the image signal and detection information for the hand shaking, which sets a scan section for finding an optimal resolution point to divide the scan section into a plurality of preset steps, and which compares change slopes of the hand shaking compression rate to detect the optimal resolution point.
