PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict vibration of a stationary induction motor with a compact-sized device while reducing a burden at a design stage.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a stationary induction motor 20 with a vibration suppression function comprises iron cores and windings, an outer cover 41 enclosing these iron cores and windings and having reinforcing members at its side surface and a vibration suppression device 45 fixed to a major flat plate 34 enclosed by reinforcing members 32a, 32b, and 31 and constituting a side surface 42 of the outer cover 41 to suppress vibration generated at the major flat plate 34. The vibration suppression device 45 has a similar-shaped flat plate arranged in parallel with the major flat plate 34, smaller than the major flat plate 34 and has a planar shape similar to that of the major flat plate 34, and an elastic member supporting the similar-shaped flat plate to connect the major flat plate 34 with the similar-shaped flat plate. Material quality and a shape of the similar-shaped flat plate are formed such that a natural frequency of the similar-shaped flat plate may be approximate to a natural frequency of the major flat plate 34. |
