PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a secondary battery into chargeable state in early stage under low temperature environment.SOLUTION: A charge discharge system comprises: a secondary battery 10 in which the lower limit of operating temperature range during discharge is lower than a charge lower limit value, i.e., the lower limit of operating temperature range during charge; a detector 11 for detecting the temperature of the secondary battery 10; a discharge resistor 110 for discharging a current required for self-heating of the secondary battery 10 therefrom; a resistor side switch 120 for connecting or interrupting the discharge resistor 110 and secondary battery 10; and a state management section 11 for discharging a current from the secondary battery 10 to the discharge resistor 110 until the temperature of the secondary battery 10 reaches the charge lower limit value, by controlling the resistor side switch 120 when the temperature of the secondary battery 10 detected by the detector 11 is lower than the charge lower limit value. |
