PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device with improved visibility.SOLUTION: An image display device includes: (1) a white light source having a continuous emission spectrum; (2) an image display cell; (3) a polarizer placed closer to a viewing side than the image display cell; (4) a polarizer protective film laminated on viewing side of the polarizer; and (5) a base film with a laminated transparent conductive layer placed closer to the viewing side than the polarizer protective film. The polarizer protective film is an oriented film, and the base film is an oriented film having 3000 to 150000 nm retardation. |
