PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting equipment having an insect-prevention structure, the assembly of which is facilitated.SOLUTION: A globe for a lighting equipment comprises: a cover part 51 for covering an LED 3 disposed in a lighting equipment body 2; a wall-shaped cover fitting part 6 extending from the cover part 51 to the side of the lighting equipment body 2 and arranged to enclose the LED 3; and a packing 7 arranged at the leading end of the cover fitting part 6. The cover fitting part 6 has a step formed on the face opposite to the face on the side of the LED 3 and at a predetermined distance from the leading end of the support part. The packing 7 is formed into a belt shape having a width larger than the length from the step to the leading end of the cover fitting part 6. The packing 7 is so arranged that one end of the belt in a lateral direction may contact the step.
