<p> An upper arm (14) used in a double wishbone suspension apparatus is a rod-like member bent so as to be substantially V-shaped, and is constituted from a body-side connection part (14a), a wheel-side connection part (14b), and an arm part (14c). The arm part (14c) includes a first arm member (14c1) and a second arm member (14c2) that are formed from metal plates so as to have C-shaped cross sections, and said cross sections have asymmetrical hollow structures. The first arm member (14c1) and the second arm member (14c2) are integrally assembled as the arm part (14c) by welding such that, at sections where the first and second arm members are fitted together, weld parts (14c3) are formed on the first arm member (14c1) side.</p> |
