PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid pump which recovers a leaked liquid thereby preventing the leaked liquid from flowing out to the exterior when the liquid is leaked from a seal.SOLUTION: A reciprocating pump serving as a liquid pump includes a high pressure seal 45 and a low pressure seal 46 that slidably contact with a reciprocation member 1, which compresses and decompresses a pump chamber 40, in a fluid-tight manner. The reciprocating pump includes a recovery tube 76 for recovering a liquid of the pump chamber 40 which is leaked from the seals. The recovery tube 76 communicates with a space part 36 located adjacent to the low pressure seal 46. An absorber 82 is placed in the space part 36, and the liquid absorbed by the absorber 82 flows to the recovery tube 76. Thus, the recovery tube 76 accumulates or discharges the leaked liquid at a given position. |
