PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the upward direction of a screen from being fixed when an imaging direction is a gravity direction concerning a system where the upward direction of the gravity is normally set to be the upward direction of the screen even when an endoscope is turned. ! SOLUTION: An endoscope includes: an insertion part having an imaging unit for imaging a subject; and a control unit having display control means for allowing a display unit to display information acquired by the imaging unit. The endoscope includes: first direction measurement means for measuring a first direction; and second direction measurement means for measuring a second direction being a direction different from the first direction. !
