PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power steering device capable of improving responsiveness when the amplitude of a rotation angle command value is small, in such a case that the rotation angle command value changes periodically.SOLUTION: A PID (Proportional Integration and Differentiation) control part 54 calculates a feedback operation amount on the basis of an angular deviation &Dgr;&thetas;v calculated by an angular deviation calculation part 53. A FF (Feed Forward) control part 57 calculates a feed forward operation amount on the basis of a valve opening command value &thetas;vset by a valve opening command value-setting part 52. Specifically, the FF control part 57 calculates the feed forward operation amount according to a differential value of the valve opening command value &thetas;v. A current command value (integrated operation amount) Iis calculated by adding the feed forward operation amount calculated by the FF control part 57 to the feedback operation amount calculated by the PID control part 54.
