[Class 87 (ii)] Articles of synthetic resin having parts of different colour or properties are moulded by extruding a base material through a conduit of the same cross-sectional area as the extrusion nozzle and injecting a different material through an inclined conduit on to the base material so as to partially displace the base material. In Fig. 2 a press is coupled to a connection 2 and supplies material to form the base A of a band and another press is coupled to a connection 21 and forms ribs B on the band. In Fig. 6 a tube is formed having an outer surface formed by base material supplied through conduits 3, 10 and an inner surface formed by material supplied to conduits 4, 11. This tube may be slit longitudinally to form a sheet, the sides of which differ in colour or properties. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also an apparatus in which a press is coupled to a central tube forming a core and another press to a tube surrounding the first tube and forming an outer coating. In another apparatus, materials of different colours &c. are fed to passages 3, 4, Fig. 8 (Cancelled), through an oscillating distributer 111 to the discharge 13 in order to produce a band of alternate lengths of different colours &c. It is stated also that the change of colour may be obtained over the width of the band and that the distributer may have an alternating axial movement. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
