The present invention is a method for evaluating the optical properties of a transparent substrate to be arranged on a display device, the method being characterized by selecting two index values from a quantified resolution index value (T), a quantified reflected-image diffusibility index value (R), and a quantified glare index value of the transparent substrate, and evaluating the optical properties of the transparent substrate. With the present invention, a transparent substrate and an antiglare treatment to be applied thereto can be selected appropriately in accordance with the purpose and/or use. The present invention can be used for evaluating the optical properties of a transparent substrate to be provided on one of various types of display devices, such as LCD devices, OLED devices, PDP devices, and tablet-type display devices. |
