PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching module in which the on resistance of a field effect transistor can be reduced, and the speed of switching operation of the field effect transistor can be increased, and to provide a switching power supply device using the same. ! SOLUTION: A switching module includes a field effect transistor, and a drive circuit for driving the field effect transistor. When turning the field effect transistor on, the drive circuit sets the drive voltage Vgs of the field effect transistor to a first specified voltage V1 larger than the threshold voltage Vth of the field effect transistor. Furthermore, before turning the field effect transistor off, upon elapsing a predetermined time Ts after turning the field effect transistor on, the drive circuit sets the drive voltage Vgs to a second specified voltage V2 larger than the threshold voltage Vth and smaller than the first specified voltage V1. !
