PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll conveyance type coater that improves manufacturing efficiency of a coated panel material.SOLUTION: A roll conveyance type coater includes: a backing roll 4 which supports a base plate 2 from below; a coating material discharge die 6 which discharges a coating material toward the base plate supported by the backing roll; upstream side and downstream side conveyance rolls 3a and 3b which are arranged in parallel on an upstream side and a downstream side of the backing roll in order to convey the base plate in a predetermined direction; a suction mechanism 8 which generates an air flow E directed downward through a vacuum port provided throughout the backing roll from the upstream side to the downstream side; a tip engaging and moving member 16 which engages with a tip portion of the base plate conveyed to a position beyond the backing roll, and moves in synchronization with the base plate while covering the vacuum port together with the base plate; and a rear end engaging and moving member 17 which engages with a rear end of the base plate conveyed on the vacuum port, and moves in synchronization with the base plate while covering the vacuum port together with the base plate. |
