Provided is a technology whereby a laser chip to be embedded in a semiconductor laser device for generating and emitting a laser beam can be precisely aligned on a sub-base. A semiconductor laser device has a sub-base on which a pattern electrically connected to lead terminals anchored to a stem is formed, and onto which a laser chip (7) for generating a laser beam is to be soldered, said sub-base being anchored to the stem. Positioning marks (9A, 9B) are provided on the laser chip (7) end face that is provided with a light-emitting point (7A) from which the laser beam is to be emitted. |
