Automatic Creation of Multiple Rows in a Table

A system and method for creating a table including multiple rows to accommodate redundant field information is described. A table creation module receives a completed form, generates field images, determines a set of unique field images, redundant fields and associated fields in the completed form, populates a first row of the table in a first column with a first unique field image, adds remaining field images from the set of unique field images to the first row, populates the first row with a first redundant field image and remaining field images from a first set of associated fields. The tables can be used to create an organized report.

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving a completed form; generating field images that are a combination of symbolic fields and handwriting fields; adding a first field image as an entry under a first column to create a first row in a table; determining whether the first field image is associated with a set of unique field images and responsive to that, adding the remaining field images from the set of unique field images to the first row in the table; determining redundant fields and associated fields in the completed form; populating the first row with a first redundant field image and remaining field images in a first set of associated fields; determining whether a next redundant field image is part of a next set of associated fields that are redundant with the first set of associated fields; responsive to determining that the next redundant field image is part of the next set of associated fields that are redundant with the first set, adding the next set of associated fields to same columns as the first set of associated fields in a next row; and adding the first field image in the first column of the next row and the remaining field images from the set of unique field images in the next row.
