a pixel including a conversion unit configured to generate an electric charge based on an incident ray and an AD conversion unit configured to convert a signal based on the electric charge generated by the conversion unit into a digital signal; a first bias line electrically connected to the conversion unit; and a capacitance element configured to store a voltage based on a potential applied to the first bias line; wherein the AD conversion unit is driven by the voltage stored in the capacitance element.
