PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a severing device capable of precisely dividing a glass sheet in moving action into a plurality of glass plates.SOLUTION: A severing device 1 which divides a glass sheet Gs along mark-off lines to manufacture glass plates of predetermined size includes: a support bar 2 which extends in a direction crossing one direction and can support one surface of the glass sheet Gs in moving action; a holding device 3 which can hold the glass sheet Gs having passed over the support bar 2; and a tilting device 4 which tilts the holding device 3. The holding device 3 has a first holder 30 and a second holder 31 having a second rotor 318, the second holder 31 is formed longer than the first holder 30 in a moving direction of the glass sheet Gs, and the tilting device 4 tilts the holding device 3 around at least an upper end side of the second holder 31 as a fulcrum of tilting in a state in which the glass sheet Gs is held between the first holder 30 and the second holder 31 and a mark-off line of the glass sheet Gs is aligned with the support bar 2. |
