TRACKING SYSTEM AND TRACKING METHOD USING SAME

Disclosed are: a tracking system capable of minimizing a space restriction for an operation enabling the calculation of three-dimensional coordinates of each marker only with one image forming unit to reduce manufacturing costs and implement equipment compactification; and a tracking method using the same. Since the tracking system and the tracking method using the same can allow one pair of marker images for each marker to be formed at different locations on an image forming unit by using one pair of light sources disposed at different locations, spatial location information and direction information of the markers attached to a target object can be calculated and checked by calculating three-dimensional coordinates of each of the markers by trigonometry only with one image forming unit, and thus the manufacturing costs of the tracking system can be reduced and the tracking system can also be miniaturized and made to be light-weight, thereby having a relatively less restricted space for an operation compared to a conventional tracking system.
