The device (10) has an irreversible deformable rupture disc or a reversible deformable bursting membrane (7) which is provided with a blow-off valve (8) influenced against expressed mechanical force. A facing side of the rupture disc or bursting membrane is arranged with a form-stable supporting bar (11) at an interior of housing (2) of a battery cell (1). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a support element for battery cell; (2) the battery cell; and (3) an accumulator.
