The present invention relates to a surveillance camera, and a face detection system and a face detection method using the same and, more specifically, to a surveillance camera, and a face detection system and a face detection method using the same, which can detect a face more quickly and accurately as compared to the prior art without the need of applying a face detection algorithm to the entire photographed image and can detect a face quickly even in an image with a higher resolution than HD without a separate process of lowering resolution by calculating a direction of a sound source generated in a surveillance zone while photographing the surveillance zone through a microphone array provided on the front and by specifying a zone, to which the face detection algorithm is to be applied first, in the photographed image. The present invention provides a surveillance camera including a camera module configured to photograph a surveillance zone through a camera; a microphone array provided on the front of the camera; and a control module configured to split a video screen through a sound source localization technique using the microphone array and to specific the priority of a zone, to which a face detection algorithm is to be applied according to a detected direction of a sound source. |
