PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium-type dispersion machine in which elongation of a processing time in a dispersion step is suppressed and clogging of a medium particle separation part can be resolved, and a toner manufacturing method using this machine.SOLUTION: A medium-type dispersion machine 1 comprises a cylindrical stator 15 and a rotatable cylindrical rotor 14, in which medium particles, which facilitate dispersion of a dispersed fluid by being agitated together with the dispersed fluid, are accommodated in a dispersion chamber. The machine 1 further comprises a first input port 101 and a second input port 102 through which the dispersed fluid is flowed in the dispersion chamber, a first exhaust port 201 and a second exhaust port 202 through which the dispersed fluid is discharged from the dispersion chamber, and a separator 17 which prevents passing of the medium particles and separates the medium particles from the dispersed fluid directed to the first exhaust port 201 or the second exhaust port 202. The machine 1 has two exhaust ports of the first exhaust port 201 and the second exhaust port 202, and further has exhaust port changing means such as a control part or the like for changing the exhaust port for discharging the dispersed fluid, which is not illustrated. |
