PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time and power consumption for cell search operation in a mobile station device.SOLUTION: In a mobile station device, a detection threshold change unit changes a detection threshold for detecting reception waves received from a base station device on the basis of use environment information indicating an environment in which the mobile station device is used. A channel selection unit selects a channel of which reception level is higher than the detection threshold from channels composing the reception waves. A synchronization processing unit performs synchronization processing with the reception wave of the channel that is selected by the channel selection unit. Thus, it is possible to reduce processing time and power consumption for cell search operation.
