PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlamp capable of diffusing the light from a light source, which is emitted from a projection lens and irradiated forward, substantially homogeneously with respect to the optical axis of the projection lens.SOLUTION: A projection lens 14 has an irrotationally symmetric shape including: a reflection plane 12a containing a first focal point F1 and a second focal point F2; an emission plane 20 on a vehicular front side; an incidence plane 22 on a vehicular rear side; and a focal point on said incidence plane side. Said emission plane 20 is inclined with respect to the optical axis of said projection lens 14 extending in vehicle longitudinal direction through the focal point of said projection lens 14. Said incidence plane 22 is a plane, on which the plural optical beams emitting from said incidence plane 22 are focused on the focal point of said projection lens 14. Said reflection plane 12a is arranged in the state, where the optical axis extending through said first focal point F1 and the second focal point F2 is inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to the optical axis of said projection lens 14, so that the light from said light source 16, which is emitted from said emission plane 20 and irradiated forward, may be homogeneous with respect to the optical axis of said projection lens 14. |
