PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor that allows surely discriminating its orientation and to provide a method of manufacturing the multilayer capacitor.SOLUTION: A multilayer capacitor C1 includes: an element body L; a first terminal electrode 1 disposed on a first side surface Lc of the element body L; a second terminal electrode 2 disposed on a second side surface Ld of the element body L; a first external conductor 3 disposed on a third side surface Le of the element body L; a second external conductor 4 disposed on a fourth side surface Lf of the element body L; a first internal electrode disposed in the element body L and connected to the first terminal electrode 1; a second internal electrode disposed in the element body L so as to face the first internal electrode in the opposite direction of first and second primary surfaces, and connected to the second terminal electrode 2; a first internal conductor 15 disposed in the element body L and connected to the first terminal electrode 1 and the first external conductor 3; and a second internal conductor 17 disposed in the element body L and connected to the second terminal electrode 2 and the second external conductor 4.
