<p>Provided is a permanent magnet type synchronous motor having higher torque density and output density. The magnetization direction of a field square-shaped permanent magnet plate (24) is set as the rotation direction. An even-number plurality of permanent magnets (24) is circumferentially arranged sandwiching fan-shaped pillar-like field teeth (34) made of a ferromagnetic material therebetween, thereby generating magnetic fields of the same polarity in the radial and axial directions. A radial armature (31) and two axial armatures (32, 32) are arranged outside these magnetic fields with an appropriate air gap maintained to form a combined radial and axial air gap.</p> |
