<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus of an induction heating system, which can open/close a degaussing coil without deteriorating productivity and can achieve long life.SOLUTION: In a fixing device of an induction heating system, a circuit in which a semiconductor switch 602 and a contact switch 601 are connected in parallel is connected in series to a degaussing coil that cancels part of a magnetic flux that is generated by an exciting coil. When bringing the degaussing coil into conduction, the semiconductor switch is first connected in synchronization with a zero crossing point of an AC voltage applied to the exciting coil, the contact switch is then connected, and then, the semiconductor switch is disconnected in synchronization with the subsequent zero crossing point.</p> |
