The friction clutch (10) has a counter plate (12) for introducing torque, and a clutch disc (20) for exhausting torque. A displaceable pressure plate (18) frictionally-presses the clutch disc between counter plate and pressure plate. The friction lining portions (24,26) transmit the torque between counter plate and clutch disc, and/or between clutch disc and pressure plate. A measuring device (28) determines the friction lining thickness of first friction lining portion and/or second friction lining portion by measuring the friction lining thickness influenced with electrical parameter. An independent claim is included for a method for determining a wear of friction clutch.
