A pre-assembly inspection device for LCD and a method thereof are provided to inspect pixel, line or mura faults in a pre-assembly state, thereby increasing reliability of substrate inspection, minimizing economical loss and improving productivity. A color filter substrate module(50) of a non-assembly state has configuration before an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) assembly process. An LC sheet(70) is attached to a side where LC is injected in the color filter substrate module. A backlight unit(80) emits light in the rear of a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) array substrate module(60). A driving signal input unit(90) inputs a driving signal to the color filter substrate module and a TFT array substrate module, which will be inspected, or the TFT array substrate module. The TFT array substrate module, which will be inspected, is inputted between the LC sheet and the backlight unit. Therefore, it is inspected whether a fault is generated in the TFT array substrate module. |
