The invention relates to a remote-reader module for fastening on the cap of a fluid meter and including a fastener element for fastening the module on the meter together with an associated visual-effect seal device. According to the invention, said seal device includes a detection arrangement enabling its position on said module and its removal from said module to be detected remotely.
