PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device for a vehicle which prevents mechanism components such as a hinge part from being exposed even though a lid body opens. SOLUTION: The device includes a storage body which contains an opening, a lid body 4 which allows the opening to be freely opened and closed, and an opening/closing mechanism 17 which opens/closes the lid body 4. The lid body 4 includes a back side member 8 vertically and rotatably journaled on the storage body, an inner panel 4b allowed to slide longitudinally by a lock part 16 allowed to be held on and removed from the back side member 8, and an outer panel 4a fixed to cover the inner panel 4b. The opening/closing mechanism 17 includes lock members 9, 10 supported on the top side of the back side member 8 to longitudinally slide and normally energized in one direction, and lock pins 9a, 10a allowed to be separated from a lock position part 16c of the lock part 16 by moving the lock members 9, 10 to the back side against energization force thereof and making the lid body 4 openly rotatable by being allowed to slide in the open/close drive region 16d.
