Provided is a method to balance a load in an advanced metering infrastructure network capable of achieving scalability, and simultaneously prevent a route flap using a distributed load balancing technology. The method to balance the load in the advanced metering infrastructure network of the present invention comprises: a congestion level advertising step of informing a congestion level at each data collection point to relay the nodes; and a serving data collection point selecting step of stochastically change a serving data collection point by the relay nodes if the congestion level of the current serving data collection point is equal to or greater than a reference value. According to the present invention, the method can resolve a problem of the route flap because a complex DAP load is dispersed to a plurality of DAP based on a load balancing index. |
