Disclosed in the present invention is an apparatus for cooling a material. The disclosed apparatus for cooling a material includes a cooling water spraying unit for spraying cooling water to a material; length-adjustable waterspouts installed on both sides of the cooling water spraying unit, while being moved and flowed onto a spraying passage of the cooling water, and turning the cooling water sprayed toward the material to the outside of the material; a frame portion for guiding the movement of the waterspouts while supporting the waterspouts; and a driving unit fixated to the frame unit to move the waterspouts.
