FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: rigid video endoscope comprises two separately manufactured and separately stored parts: a load-bearing part and a working part. The external detachable part of the video endoscope is in form of a hollow thin-walled tube which includes an illumination fibre and having at the distal end an optical system or at least part of an optical system. The load-bearing part is in form of a hollow thick-walled tube in the distal part of which a television array is mounted. Both parts of the endoscope can be mounted coaxially with a gap in between. The video endoscope is assembled immediately before an endoscope procedure. The video endoscope can move longitudinally and the detachable part can rotate about the load-bearing part of the video endoscope.EFFECT: improved characteristics.11 cl, 3 dwg
