Provided are hand-off method and an apparatus for the same. The hand-off apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the following: a first communications unit communicating with a first access point among a plurality of access points; a second communications unit searching for a second access point for hand-off while the first communications unit communicates with the first access point and maintaining only connection to the searched second access point; and a network bridge switching a network path from the first communications unit to the second communications unit according to a predetermined condition, wherein the first communications unit searches for a third access point for hand-off if the network path is switched to the second communications unit, and then maintains only connection to the searched third access point.
