[Classes 52(ii) and 52 (iii)] A table of variable area comprises a frame 1 supporting two fixed horizontal end panels 6 and an overlying top 11, on a vertical pivot 10, which may rest on the panels 6 or be turned crosswise to lie between them to give a table-top of increased area. In the first position the table top may be displaced vertically and supported by hinged flaps 13 to form a multi-deck structure, trays 7, 8 being also provided on the frame 1 which is of tubular material with a central tube 9 to receive the pivot 10 for the top 11. |
