<p>Preparing polyether polyols based on starter compounds having Zerevitinov-active hydrogen atoms, having n E n blocks each comprising at least 75 wt.% oxyethylene units, and m P m blocks each comprising at least 60 wt.% oxypropylene units, where n and m are 1-10 and at least one starter compound having at least one Zerevitinov-active hydrogen atom and a melting point of >= 40[deg] C, comprises reacting the starter compound with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst. Preparing polyether polyols based on starter compounds having Zerevitinov-active hydrogen atoms, having n E n blocks each comprising at least 75 wt.% oxyethylene units and m P m blocks each comprising at least 60 wt.% oxypropylene units, where n and m are 1-10 and at least one starter compound having at least one Zerevitinov-active hydrogen atom and a melting point of >= 40[deg] C, comprises reacting the starter compound with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst, where the P m block(s) are metered under conditions of an equation as given in the specification, and the total content of oxyethylene units in the polyether polyol is 5-90 wt.%. An independent claim is included for polyether polyols prepared by a process, where the polyether polyols are visually clear and/or homogeneous at 20[deg] C.</p> |
