A pinion gear is actively moved to a shaft direction without causing the enlargement of a bearing and a decrease in the strength of the pinion gear. The pinion gear (32) is geared with an operating gear (31) which transfers the rotation of a handle (2), which is installed on a reel body (1) of a dual-bearing reel (100) in order to be able to be rotated, to a spool (12). The pinion gear (32) also serves as a clutch tool (13). The pinion gear (32) includes a first support unit (32a), a gear unit (32b), a narrow unit (32c), and a coated film (32e). The support unit (32a) is installed at one side thereof and supported in order to be able to be rotated on a second boss unit (7g) through the bearing (38a). The gear unit (32b) can be geared with the operating gear (31). The narrow unit (32c) is disposed between the first support unit (32a) and gear unit (32b) and has a smaller outer diameter than the first support unit (32a) and gear unit (32b).
