The present invention relates to a rockfall protection fence having a pipe type energy dissipation device capable of efficiently preventing rockfall energy arising from impact by installing the energy dissipation device in the rockfall protection fence and capable of minimizing the damage due to rockfall. The present invention comprises: a pillar installed on a base structure; a grid-mesh installed between pillars; a wire rope installed by crossing the pillars; and a wire rope fixing unit fixed to the energy dissipation device for connecting the wire rope. The wire rope passes through the wire rope fixing unit and is installed to surround the outer surface of the energy dissipation device. During rockfall impact, the wire rope changes an energy dissipation pipe and dissipates the energy arising from the rockfall impact.
