Producing a recycled plastic material from a starting material, which is used plastic material comprising at least 80 wt.% of high density polyethylene, comprises: (a) determining a physical property of the starting material; (b) determining at least one physical property of the target recycled plastic material; and (c) preparing the starting material by adding a chemical compound in a melt of the starting material, where the type and quantity of the chemical compound added in step (c) is chosen such that set target property is reached in step (b) from specific output property in step (a). |
