FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: absorbent core for absorbent products, e.g. for menstrual or blood absorption. The absorbent core comprises a carrier layer bearing an absorbent polymer layer bearing an adhesive layer. The carrier layer, the coating layer or both can comprise a composite of at least a first layer and a third layer of fibrous non-woven fabrics. The above first layer and the above third layer contain synthetic fibres with an average denier of fibres from approximately 1 to approximately 6.0. The above composite additionally comprises a second layer containing a pulp; the composite layers are arranged in the following order: the first - the second - the third, and coupled together by network of the fibres of the respective layers that can be ensured by e.g. hydro entangling.
