Disclosed are a messenger system and a method for providing a messenger service using the same, capable of requesting a search in a chatting window screen and providing search results in the chatting window screen. The method for providing a messenger service includes the steps of requesting a search in a chatting window screen of a messenger; and displaying the search results according to the request in the chatting window screen.
